For threaded inserts
After cutting the thread with this tap, it is necessary to insert a stainless spiral insert into the thread.
I.e. the repaired thread will only be created after the insertion of the spiral insert.
*** The thread cut with this tap does not/need not have a standard dimension = it cannot be replaced with ordinary cutting set / machine taps.

Stainless steel threaded insert for repairing G / BSP pipe threads Dimension and pitch: according to the selected variant Length of the insert: 1.5 D (given in multiples of the nominal diameter of the thread being repaired) * The length of the insert is given in the expanded state, i.e. after insertion into the thread to be repaired , i.e. if you are repairing a G1/4" thread with a 1.5D insert, then the length of the insert is 1.5 times 1/4" (=6.35mm), i.e. 9.525mm.
