V-Coil Threaded Inserts are made of high quality stainless steel chrome-nickel and form solid, internal threads that are heat-resistant and corrosion resistant. Unique design provides excellent threads whose overall performance characteristics can not be imitated in any other way.
Self-locking inserts have a special meaning when used in cases of vibration or shock stress. V-Coil offers self-locking inserts with adequate security clearance. This is achieved by the action of one or more polygonal clamping threads which are distributed in the length of the insert so as to effect radial pressure even on the internal thread. Each clamping thread has a plurality of tangential faces extending over the inner diameter of the free insert. When bolted, the bolt or bolt moves over the clamping surface, causing pressure on the internal thread. After the screw is unscrewed, the clamping thread becomes its original shape, and the radial pressure is maintained after the bolt has been screwed in again.
