V-Coil offers self-locking inserts with sufficient security against loosening. This is achieved by the action of one or more polygonal clamping threads, which are distributed along the length of the insert in such a way that they also exert radial pressure on the internal thread (screw). Each clamping thread has a certain amount of tangential surfaces extending beyond the inner diameter of the loose insert. When screwing in, the bolt or screw moves along the clamping surfaces, which exerts pressure on the internal thread. After unscrewing the screw, the clamping thread assumes its original shape, after screwing the screw back in, sufficient radial pressure is maintained.
