V-Coil thread inserts are made from high quality chrome nickel stainless steel and create strong, internal threads that are resistant to heat and corrosion. The unique design ensures superior threads whose overall performance characteristics cannot be duplicated by any other method.
Material: chrome nickel austenitic unstabilized steel (food grade stainless steel), newly marked according to ČSN 10088-1 1.4301 ( X5CrNi 18-10 ), old designation AISI 304, ČSN 17240, AKV 7
Self-locking inserts are of particular importance when used in cases where there is vibration or shock stress. V-Coil offers self-locking inserts with sufficient security against loosening. This is achieved by the action of one or more polygonal clamping threads, which are distributed along the length of the insert in such a way that they also exert radial pressure on the internal thread (screw). Each clamping thread has a certain amount of tangential surfaces extending beyond the inner diameter of the loose insert. When screwing in, the bolt or screw moves along the clamping surfaces, which exerts pressure on the internal thread. After unscrewing the screw, the clamping thread assumes its original shape, after screwing the screw back in, sufficient radial pressure is maintained.

V-Coil kit for thread repair Dimension and pitch: according to the selected variant Contents of the set: according to the selected variant, see the attached catalog sheet for details The lengths of the inserts are always a multiple of the diameter of the thread being repaired, i.e. for example, if you are repairing an M6 thread and the set includes 1.5D inserts, then the length of the insert is 1.5 times 6mm, i.e. 9mm. If you need a shorter or longer insert, we can offer separately in lengths 1.0D / 1.5D / 2.0D / 2.5D / 3.0D. If the length doesn't suit you, you can adjust the length - cut, grind, pinch - as possible, just be careful - the inserts are stainless steel, it won't be easy. Thread repair method: 1. You drill out the damaged thread with the enclosed drill 2. You cut the thread with the attached (special) tapper (the use of other, e.g. common set or machine tappers does not work) 3. With the help of the supplied inserter, insert the insert to the desired depth (beware, the inserts cannot be turned back!) 4. Use a punch (if included in the set) or pliers to break out the insertion part on the insert
