Standard: ISO296 type BEK
Straight slot - use of a drill on a lathe and on all machines where the workpiece rotates and the drill stands - lathes, NC. Straight groove geometry is also suitable for machining cast iron, aluminum, etc., regardless of whether the workpiece or drill is rotating - ie use in drills / milling machines and lathes / NC.
The package includes a holder, 2x clamping screw and 1x torx key.

Karnasch manufactures both carbide and sintered steel inserts. It is therefore used both for NC (with carbide insert) and for conventional machines without numerical control (with sintered steel insert).
Of course, carbide inserts can also be used on conventional machines, you just need to keep in mind that any vibrations (loose spindle, low rigidity of the system / machine, etc.) can cause premature damage / breakage of the carbide insert. Sintered steel is tougher and can withstand worse handling.
