Insert lengths are always many times the diameter Thread repaired, ie for example. if you are repairing an M6 thread and there are 1.5D inserts in the set, then the length of the insert is 1.5 times 6mm, ie 9mm.
If you need a shorter or longer insert, we can offer it separately in lengths of 1.0D / 1.5D / 2.0D / 2.5D / 3.0D. If the length is still not suitable, you can adjust the length - cut, grind, pinch - if possible, just be careful - the inserts are stainless steel, it does not go completely easily.
How to fix a thread:
1. You are drilling a damaged thread with a drill bit included(if included in the kit)
2. You can solve the thread by attaching a(special) tap (using other - set or machine taps does not work)
3. With the help of the enclosed loader, insert the insert to the required depth(be careful, the inserts cannot be pulled back!)
4. Use an ejector(if included in the kit) or pliers to break out the insert on the insert.
