Rolls for repairing external threads in the SilberTool rolling head
(there are 3 rolls in this set)
Size: R36
For repairing the right UN/UNC/UNF/UNEF thread with pitch: according to the selected variant
Max. the thread diameter that can be repaired with these rolls in the R36 head is 36.0mm!
Thread standard: ANSI B1.1
To repair the thread, it is enough to put rolls with the corresponding pitch of the thread into the head, put the head on the undamaged part of the thread, tighten the movable roll to the thread and by turning the whole head over the damaged thread (several times as needed + lubricate!) you will repair the thread.
Due to cold rolling, the resulting thread is of high quality, smooth and has a higher resistance limit than a new thread.
This method is safer than using threaded files or threaded eyes - it does not remove any material, on the contrary, cold compaction makes the thread of the same quality as before damage.
