    V-Coil Kit to Repair English Inch Whitworth Thread W / BSW (Whitworth Thread - Basic Pitch) Dimension and pitch: according to the selected variant Top thread angle: 55° Contents of the set: according to the selected variant, see the attached catalog sheet for details Insert lengths are always a multiple of the diameter of the thread being repaired, i.e. for example if you are repairing a BSW 1/4" thread and the set includes 1.5D inserts, then the length of the insert is 1.5 times 1/ 4" (=6.35mm), i.e. 9.525mm. For a better overview / conversion of lengths / please see the description of the individual variants. If you need a shorter or longer insert, we can offer separately in lengths 1.0D / 1.5D / 2.0D / 2.5D / 3.0D. If the length doesn't suit you, you can adjust the length - cut, grind, pinch - as possible, just be careful - the inserts are stainless steel, it won't be easy. Thread repair method: 1. You drill out the damaged thread with the enclosed drill 2. You cut the thread with the attached (special) tapper (the use of other, e.g. common set or machine tappers does not work) 3. With the help of the supplied inserter, insert the insert to the desired depth (beware, the inserts cannot be turned back!) 4. Use a punch (if included in the set) or pliers to break out the insertion part on the insert
